Addressing the skills gap in UK Forging & Engineering
At WHT we have recognised the undoubted skills gap shortage in the UK and have proactively promoted the next generation of engineers with a personnel development plan based on engineering apprenticeships.
We currently have 6 apprentices within our team, at various ages and stages of qualification, and in all areas of our business, fully supported on their learning journey by WHT and local training providers In-Comm training, and MakeUK (formerly EEF).
WHT is now recognised as market-leading within our industry for how we encourage, train, and develop the next generation of industrial engineers to future-proof our business and our industry.
