Live Scheduling System Installed to Improve Service

Considerable new investment has been made at our drop forging production facility to further improve KPI (Key Performance Indicator) targets. We have identified areas that require improvement and established that meeting delivery and lead time must be a primary focus for us at W.H.Tildesley.

With an aim to move forward, data collection terminals are now located throughout the factory. They enable our staff to log on and off jobs, allocate material stock and actively monitor production rates and output volume.

These terminals also enable our staff to view digital production drawings and 3D models, assisting with quality inspection and initial sample inspection reports.

The central quality control office has the ability to monitor all jobs in progress and swiftly identify those that are behind schedule. As part of our on-going improvement scheme, the system is fundamental in improving overall production performance and helps us identify areas that require improvement.
