A scheme to transform a local factory is on course to be completed November this year.

W H Tildesley has invested over £1.4 million to upgrade and expand it’s facility in Bow St. Willenhall. Construction of the first half of the main building is already complete. Steelwork for the second half is now in place with the whole project due to be finished in November of this year. All electrical and mechanical services are being provided by local contractors.

Newly appointed Sales & Marketing Manager, Philip Hobley said “We agreed a production plan with our Customers to enable us to support them during the building programme. The workforce here has done an outstanding job of maintaining output whilst some of our machinery has been unavailable”.

“When all of the rebuilding and refurbishment work is complete we will have a thoroughly modern manufacturing facility. The improvements are intended to provide better working conditions and to help meet the latest environmental standards. The work flow through the factory will be improved and the increase in available floor area means we’ll have the option to install additional production capacity to accommodate future growth.”

“We can supply parts in their forged-only state or with our in-house machine shop we can rough machine or fully machine finish those parts. We now also offer a general sub-contract machining service”.

“In 2010 our sales, along with everyone else’s, we’re below what we have historically seen. However, last year we began to see an upturn in volume which has continued this year. We’re looking to build on this by acquiring new customers and growing the amount of business that we do with existing ones. This will help to protect jobs both here and within our supply base”.
